2020 YOUNG FILMMAKERS PROJECT VIRTUAL FILM FESTIVAL NOW ON-LINE
Top 12 Finalists Screened and Winners Announced

The results are in…and the winners and finalists for the 2020 Young Filmmakers Project have been announced.  Chosen by a panel of five industry judges, the two-minute short films represent the best of young filmmaking across the state.

“The films and filmmakers keep getting better and better,” said Matt Storm with the South Carolina Film Commission.  “This crop was the best we’ve ever had and we’re excited to share them with the state.”

The Young Filmmakers Project is an annual filmmaking competition for South Carolina high school students, from the South Carolina Film Commission and Trident Technical College.  Designed to encourage media arts education and to explore the craft and career, it’s accompanied by a series of instructional programs such as screenings, meet-ups and panels with South Carolina crew and department heads.

The twelve finalists screened at the Young Filmmakers Virtual Film Festival on Saturday, May 23rd at 2pm, where the winners were announced. VIEW A RECORDING OF THE FILM FESTIVAL ABOVE.
